Alpine A290 Beta Concept

Renault presented a concept in 2023 through Alpine within the brand. Titled Alpine A290 Beta Concept, this work features retro design elements reminiscent of Renault's legendary Renault 5 Turbo 2 model during the Group B rally period.

The rear-engined icon features an unusual seating arrangement in this concept as a reference to the model. The driver's seat in the interior, which has become legendary in mass production with the McLaren F1, and 3 people, one at the front and one at the sides, looks like a rally car.

Renault's Alpine has announced that it will expand its current model lineup. Alpine, which will take its electric models into mass production as part of its 2024 strategy, will produce cars that everyone would want to have in their dream garage. One of them will be the A290 Beta. Maybe the name or the seating arrangement in the interior may change, but the hot hatchbacks of the 80s and 90s will take their place in our garages again with all-electric infrastructure.
