Differences Between the Lamborghini Aventador Models

Lamborghini’s legendary Aventador super sports car series offers two significant variants: the Aventador Roadster and the Aventador S. Here are the key differences between these two models:

Lamborghini Aventador Roadster

Engine: 6.5-liter V12 engine, 700 horsepower, and 690 Nm of torque (same as the Aventador).
Performance: 0-100 km/h acceleration in approximately 3.0 seconds, top speed of 350 km/h (similar to the Aventador).
Design: Features a convertible roof, providing an open-air driving experience. It may be slightly heavier due to structural changes and the roof mechanism.
Suspension and Chassis: Standard suspension and chassis, but it may be slightly heavier due to additional mechanisms.

Summary: The Aventador Roadster is the open-air driving version of the Aventador. It has the same performance and engine characteristics as the Aventador but is slightly heavier due to the convertible roof and additional support structures.

Lamborghini Aventador S

Engine: 6.5-liter V12 engine, 740 horsepower, and 690 Nm of torque.
Performance: 0-100 km/h acceleration in approximately 2.9 seconds, top speed of 350 km/h. Enhanced performance with higher power output.
Design: More aggressive exterior design, active aerodynamic systems, and aerodynamic wings. Stands out with innovative design elements.
Suspension and Chassis: Improved suspension and active chassis controls, with a four-wheel steering system. Better maneuverability.
Electronics and Driving Modes: Advanced electronic control systems and customizable driving modes.

STRADA MODE: In STRADA mode, the progressive suspension is softened for more comfort and stability on rough roads. Torque is distributed 40/60 front to rear by default: The car becomes safe and stable with maximum grip, providing an easy drive and control.

SPORT MODE: In SPORT mode, Lamborghini's Rear Wheel Steering provides up to 90% of torque to the rear wheels for maximum sportiness and driving pleasure on winding roads. Driving precision and driver feedback are enhanced while maintaining safety and comfort. The car’s agility is increased by reducing torque to the front axle when you lift off the gas, leading to better rear-end control and handling.

CORSA MODE: In CORSA mode, driving precision and traction are maintained while drivers experience less intrusive dynamic and traction control interventions. High damping force maximizes driving feedback and inputs from steering, braking, and acceleration. For high-performance situations, counter-phase steering is increased, and torque is distributed between the front and rear axles with a maximum 20/80 split to provide a more neutral behavior and enhance track performance.

EGO MODE: In EGO mode, you switch to a fully customizable setting, allowing you to tailor the driving experience to your preferences, enhancing your driving pleasure.

Conclusion

Aventador: The base super sports car with a powerful engine and traditional design.
Aventador Roadster: The convertible version providing an open-air driving experience.
Aventador S: The top model offering high performance, advanced aerodynamics, and technology.

Each model showcases Lamborghini’s engineering and design excellence in different ways and offers various driving experiences. Your choice will depend on your driving style and personal preferences.
